Born to American and Egyptian parents, Col3trane’s sound is as diverse as his influences.

Real-name Cole Basta, whilst growing up in North London he was surrounded by a soundtrack of Eminem, Nas and Tupac alongside the likes of Ray Charles and D’Angelo. The result of this is a sound that he likes of GQ, High Snobiety and Noisey have compared to the likes of Frank Ocean (with a hint of Post Malone).

From packing out small London venues to supporting Dua Lipa on her arena tour – Col3trane seemingly has a natural ability to both make genre-spanning, technically impressive music, and play the role of a soon-to-be global superstar.

Many people might know Col3trane from his SG Lewis collaboration “Smart Aleck Kill”, but it’s his latest single “The Fruits (feat. RAYE x DJDS)” that Cole’s unignorable energy can be felt and has an opportunity to break through to the mainstream.
