We have mentioned Hamzaa previously on BPI Future Fresh, when she featured on New Machine’s single “Chance”. However, now the London-based artist is back with solo material.

“Stranded Love” is the result of a year in the studio, where she has been “pouring [her] heart out” – and that year hasn’t gone to waste! In the single, she sings about unrequited love – she loves someone but has been stranded whilst the other person has gone off with someone new, “for everyone to see”.

Just how deeply emotional and personal the lyrics to “Stranded Love” are is evident through her truly powerful vocals on the track – as a listener, you can’t help but feel the pain rooted in the song. And any artist able to make such raw emotions relate in such a way is surely onto something.
