A BRITs First: Multi-million selling producer and DJ Calvin Harris to make his debut BRITs performance, joined for a unique collaboration by 2018 British Female and British Breakthrough winner Dua Lipa and 3x BRIT winners Sam Smith and Rag‘n’Bone Man.

The BRIT Awards 2019 with Mastercard today confirm Calvin Harris, in what is a BRITs first, with very special guests Dua Lipa, Sam Smith and Rag’n’Bone Man to perform on the show with a not-to-be missed collaboration, joining the previously announced George Ezra, Little Mix, Jorja Smith and The 1975. The BRIT Awards take place on Wednesday 20th February at The O2 Arena, London, broadcast exclusively on ITV and hosted by Jack Whitehall.

As announced on January 12th during ITV’s one-hour special ‘The BRITs Are Coming’, Calvin Harris is nominated for British Single and British Artist Video of the Year for his collaboration with Dua Lipa on ‘One Kiss’ – which was the biggest-selling single of 2018 and spent 8 weeks at the top of the charts. In addition, Dua Lipa is nominated in both categories for her single ‘IDGAF’ bringing her total number of nominations to four. Sam Smith is up for British Male.

Jason Iley, BRITs Chairman and Chairman and CEO of Sony Music UK & Ireland said:

“I’m delighted that Calvin will be performing at the BRITs for the first time ever; he is a global superstar who has created some of the biggest hits with the biggest artists in the world. The stats say it all! He will be joined by a trio of incredible British talent – Dua Lipa, Sam Smith and Rag‘n’Bone Man – each of whom are individually amazing performers and have been lighting up the UK charts. This will undoubtedly be one of the stand out moments of the night.”

Calvin Harris, the multi-million selling global superstar DJ and producer will be making his BRITs debut in 2019. With 240 million global sales, five UK Top Ten albums (two of which topped the charts) 14 UK No.1 singles, 33 UK Top Ten singles and massive collaborations with some of the biggest and most exciting artists in the world over the past decade including Rihanna, Pharrell Williams and Ariana Grande, Calvin’s trajectory over the past decade sees no sign of slowing down.

Dua Lipa – who is the most nominated female artist in BRITs history for the second consecutive year - returns to the 2019 show. Her eponymous debut Top 5 album produced seven singles, including the Top Ten hits ‘Be The One’, ‘IDGAF’ and the UK No. 1 single ‘New Rules’, which she performed at the BRITs last year; ‘New Rules’ has since spent a record breaking 45 weeks in the US pop chart and made her the youngest solo female artist to have amassed one billion views on YouTube. Dua Lipa is also the first and only female artist to have four lead tracks accumulate over 500 million Spotify streams. Dua is nominated four times, with two nominations for Best Single and two nominations for British Artist Video of the Year, for her solo track ‘IDGAF’ and for the Calvin Harris track ‘One Kiss’ – a collaboration which resulted in Dua achieving the longest-running No.1 single for a UK female artist this century.

Multiple BRIT, GRAMMY and Oscar winner Sam Smith returns to the BRITs this year, to join Calvin Harris. With a whopping seven UK No.1 singles and two UK No.1 albums under his belt, the 2014 BRITs Critics’ Choice winner is also celebrating having achieved combined global album sales of 20 million with his 2014 debut, ‘In The Lonely Hour’ and last year's ‘The Thrill Of It All’. Calvin and Sam’s track ‘Promises’ went to No. 1 upon release last summer. Sam is nominated for British Male Solo Artist this year.

Three-time BRIT winner Rag’n’Bone Man - the second artist to win both BRITs Critics’ Choice and British Breakthrough awards after Sam Smith, and the only artist to win both in the same year - returns to the BRITs as part of this incredible performance line up. His debut album Human debuted at No. 1 upon release in 2017, becoming the fastest selling male debut of the decade, subsequently achieving triple platinum status in the UK and selling more than three million globally. Rag’n’Bone Man and Calvin’s collaboration ‘Giant’ went straight into the Top 10 in the UK singles chart upon it’s release in January this year.
