For our 100th Future Fresh selection, we wanted to go back and highlight an artist that we, regrettably, didn’t feature when we probably should have.

Dave is destined for international stardom and is very much on his way to achieving those goals – with a World Tour on the way this year, he sold out Brixton Academy in London a couple of months ago and his debut full-length album “Psychodrama” went to #1 on the UK Charts in March and won the 2019 Hyundai Mercury Prize.

He was on the list to be featured as a Future Fresh as early as 2017 – with J Hus collaboration “Samantha” as well as tracks “100M’s” and “Question Time” causing a lot of noise. But, alas, other artists made the cut instead – including Ella Mai, Grace Carter, SG Lewis and fellow #1 album charter Lewis Capaldi with single “Bruises”.

With many accomplishments under his belt already, we’re excited to see where Dave goes from here. He is definitively Fresh right now and has a world conquering Future ahead of him.
