Becky Hill isn’t the newest name in pop music, but she is a very good name in pop music and they don’t come in abundance nowadays which means that any recognition is worthwhile.

The singer-songwriter originally from Bewdley (“a small riverside town and civil parish in the Wyre Forest District of Worcestershire on the Shropshire border in England, along the Severn Valley a few miles to the west of Kidderminster and 22 miles south west of Birmingham”) has been featured on singles by Oliver Heldens (who can forget “Geko (Overdrive)”?!), MK, Matoma and Wilkinson but has now signed to Polydor Records to super-charge her own career.

New single “Sunrise In The East” isn’t a million miles from 2014 single “Losing” sonically, but there is a catchiness about this single which has us thinking that it could be a breaking point for Becky Hill. A song which combines her knack for songwriting (if you can call being a professional songwriter “having a knack”) with solid pop beats, she’s finally reaching a potential we all knew she had inside.

Get ready to hear her on radios everywhere, because the true Becky Hill has arrived.
