PinkPantheress named youngest ever recipient of the Producer of the Year award at the BRIT Awards 2026 with Mastercard
The BRIT Awards 2026 with Mastercard today announces that multi-platinum recording artist, songwriter and producer PinkPantheress is the recipient of this year’s Producer of the Year Award.
Decided on by a select panel of expert judges from the music production sector, The BRITs Producer of the Year award has previously been presented to a roll call of acclaimed British producers, including Paul Epworth, Calvin Harris, Fred again.., and, last year’s winner, A. G. Cook. PinkPantheress will be the youngest ever recipient of this prestigious award, which recognises the excellence of her work in music production and the important contribution this has made across the year, and she is also the first woman to be presented with the honour.
PinkPantheress is a multi-platinum recording artist, songwriter, and producer, who is helping lead the next generation of British talent breaking through with such impact on the global stage. As well as taking home Producer of the Year, she is also nominated for two further awards, for Artist of the Year and Dance Act. Her penchant for producing dance-pop earworms emerged in high school, as she began producing instrumentals and early songs, going from strength to strength and building support before releasing her critically acclaimed debut mixtape To Hell With It in 2021. Since then, she’s racked up over a billion streams and taken the world by storm. Her track Boy’s a Liar spent 28 weeks on the Official UK Singles Chart (peaking at Number 2) and 22 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 (peaking at Number 3). Her latest mixtape Fancy That was shortlisted for the 2025 Mercury Prize, and spawned culture dominating singles Stateside and Illegal. She was crowned Producer of the Year at the Billboard Women in Music Awards and honoured in Forbes' 30 Under 30 list.
PinkPantheress said: “As the first woman to win this award, I’m grateful to be recognised. My music production is the thing I’m proudest of, and I’ve worked really hard at it, so I hope this inspires others to pursue their passion.”
Stacey Tang, Chair of the 2026 BRIT Awards Committee and Co-President of RCA Records at Sony Music UK said: “PinkPantheress is both an inventive and instinctive voice in British pop right now. As a producer, she’s precise and playful, building bold, boundary expanding sounds that travel beyond the UK. She’s quietly reshaping what modern pop can be, and in doing so, opening the door for a new wave of female producers to step forward. Celebrating her at the BRITs is both timely and significant.”
