BPI publishes its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) report for 2025
The BPI, the representative voice for the UK’s world-leading record companies and label businesses, today publishes its 2025 Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Report.
The report can be read in full here.
This annual review provides a snapshot of where the BPI is positioned as an organisation on its DEI work and engagement as of the end of 2025, and is published in line with the BPI’s commitment to its Five-Year DEI Strategy. The document reports on the progress against the BPI’s Five-Year Objectives and Outcomes.
Central to the Five-Year Strategy are three key pillars – Lead By Example (reflecting the BPI’s internal work, including its policies and recruitment); Connect and Support (reflecting the work with the BPI’s membership); and Advocate and Amplify (reflecting the BPI’s external DEI work, extending also to the BRIT Awards).
The Outcomes and Objectives section of the report shows that inclusive practice continued to embed across the BPI in 2025, with the organisation acting on twelve of its fourteen Five-Year objectives over the course of the year. Seven of these objectives were recognised as ‘Achieving’, and five as ‘Partially Achieving’, while there were two areas of development recognised as requiring additional focus in 2026.
Hailey Willington, Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at the BPI, said:
“The release of our annual DEI report is an important opportunity to update, share our learnings, and reaffirm our commitment to transparency with our members and wider industry partners. We would like to thank the BPI team, Internal DEI Working Group, BPI Council Representatives, BPI members, DEI partners and particularly the BPI’s Equity and justice Advisory Group (EJAG), who all play key roles in keeping this work energised, sustainable and impactful.”
