The BRIT Awards 2026 with Mastercard amassed its biggest global audience ever, with consolidated figures from the seven days following the show highlighting just how far content from that special night in Manchester travelled across the world. From Harry Styles’ debut performance of new music, to Olivia Dean’s four award wins, appetite is high worldwide for British music and BRITs content.

BRITs’ owned channels have seen a 70% increase in total views, up from 249 million views in 2025 to 423 million in 2026; when taking into account BRITs’ performance content shared across artist channels, it amounts to over half a billion (506 million) views of social content from the night. This record-breaking digital reach reinforces the BRITs as a global stage for showcasing the best in international music and new generations of British talent breaking through, evident in this year’s stunning performance line-up of Harry Styles, ROSALÍA, RAYE, Olivia Dean and more.

On Instagram, views were up 227% on 2025, increasing from 74 million to 242 million and the official BRITs account surpassed one million followers. Views on Facebook increased 90% from 71 million to 135 million, with 27 million views on TikTok. Across BRITs and Harry Styles’ accounts, Harry’s groundbreaking, live debut performance of Aperture received over 70 million views across all platforms; ROSALÍA’s performance, posted across BRITs and ROSALÍA’s channels, has received combined views in excess of 80 million; Olivia Dean, the biggest winner on the night, has received over 40 million views of her performance content alone.

The digital partnership with Meta continued to go from strength to strength, with support across Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp, and WhatsApp’s “Music in Channels” feature, which allows users to soundtrack their posts, launched in time for the 2026 BRIT Awards. WhatsApp again provided the technology for the public vote for Song of the Year with Mastercard and International Song of the Year, with music fans invited to vote for their favourite songs during the voting window. The BRITs WhatsApp channel continued to be the first place to hear the biggest news about the 2026 show.

The official livestream on BRITs’ YouTube channel, which allowed international viewers outside of the UK to watch the show for the 13th year running, reached 1 million views over 24 hours, an increase of 135% on 2025. This figure signals the highest number of views outside of the UK since 2021, with viewers tuning in from the US, Mexico, Brazil and elsewhere, highlighting the truly global nature of the BRIT Awards.

ITV's coverage of The BRIT Awards has reached a multi-platform audience of 6.3 million viewers* across ITV’s linear channels, YouTube, and ITVX, cementing its place as a must-watch national event. Digital engagement for the coveted awards night has also seen impressive growth, with ITVX streams climbing to 2.3 million - marking a 78% year-on-year increase. 2026 marked the first time the innovative multi-platform rollout across ITV and YouTube was available to UK viewers.

The 2026 show at Manchester’s Co-op Live on Saturday 28th February also made history as it marked the first time the UK’s biggest night in music has been staged outside of London in its five-decade history. The show was broadcast on ITV1 and ITVX in the UK and, for the first time, on ITV’s YouTube channel, as well as on BRITs’ YouTube channel for those outside of the UK. Hosted by Jack Whitehall, the show featured exclusive performances from Alex Warren; EJAE, Audrey Nuna and REI AMI, the singing voices from HUNTR/X; Harry Styles; Mark Ronson (with Dua Lipa and Ghostface Killah); Olivia Dean; RAYE; ROSALÍA (with Björk), SOMBR; and Wolf Alice, as well as an all-star tribute performance for Ozzy Osbourne fronted by Robbie Williams. Olivia Dean took home the most awards of the night with four wins for Mastercard Album of the Year, Artist of the Year, Song of the Year with Mastercard (for the chart-topping collaboration with Sam Fender) and Pop Act.

The BRIT Awards 2026 was led by Chair of the BRITs Committee, Stacey Tang, Co-President of RCA Records, Sony Music UK, and the digital campaign was led by Edd Blower, Director, Audience Strategy & Growth, RCA UK, and BPI Director of Digital Giuseppe De Cristofano, who jointly co-chaired The BRIT Awards 2026 Digital Committee, working with content agency Cold Glass Productions.

Mastercard continued their long-standing headline sponsorship of The BRITs as it moved into its 29th year. ITV remained the official broadcaster for the 34th year, with the awards airing on ITV, STV, ITVX and STV Player.

These partnerships are vital in supporting and amplifying The BRITs’ vision and values, including fundraising for the awards’ charitable arm, The BRIT Trust, with a core pillar of the Trust the distribution of funds to charities which promote education and wellbeing through music, including The BRIT School and Nordoff and Robbins Music Therapy.
