BPI welcomes new members to its Equity and Justice Advisory Group (EJAG)

The BPI, the representative voice for the UK’s world-leading record companies and label businesses, today announces details of the latest members appointed to its BPI Equity and Justice Advisory Group (EJAG).

Seven new members drawn from across the industry, each of whom bring with them a breadth of experience and expertise, have successfully applied for the positions vacated by original founder members after stepping down at the end of 2025 in line with EJAG governance. More details on EJAG here.

Chaired by BPI Chair YolanDa Brown OBE DL, with Alex Hannaby as its Deputy Chair and supported by BPI’s Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Hailey Willington, EJAG is a diverse and intersectional board of music and creative industry professionals who assist the BPI in advocating for the progression of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) across the sector.  EJAG works to support the BPI’s Five-Year DEI Strategy and Vision, and, when required, acts as a ‘critical friend’ to help enable collaborative and inclusive change in the industry. 

The new members, who now begin a two-year term, having attended their first meeting on 27th January, are:

  • Dr Kienda Hoji (Music Business Academic and Music Lawyer)
  • Laverne Thomas (Operations Lead for Sub-Saharan Africa, Warner Music Group)
  • Linfa Kear (Sync & Brand Partnerships Coordinator, [PIAS])
  • Samar Khan (Marketing Specialist EMEA, Live Nation Entertainment)
  • Vahishtai Ghosh (Equalities & Industry Development Officer, Scottish Music Industry Association)
