The BPI, London’s growth agency London & Partners, and Abbey Road REDD today announce a new cohort of UK music tech companies selected for the 2025 GrowMusic business support programme. This follows a highly successful first year for the programme in 2024.

GrowMusic is a 12-week scale-up and business support programme designed for startups and founders at the interface of technology and music based in London, the South East or East of England. It offers unparalleled access to the beating heart of the UK’s recorded and live music industry.

16 UK-based companies with music or music-adjacent technologies at the heart of their product have been welcomed to the programme. Running from September – December 2025, the programme will close with a gala showcase of the graduating companies.

The 2025 GrowMusic cohort includes: ALLOY, Ampollo, Copper Candle, Creds, Gotobeat, Headsoup, KLEF, Melsonic, Memory Tracks, Musiqmesh, Pro Studio Time, PureSound Network, Soule, SphereTrax, The Blues Project and Voice-Swap.

This year’s cohort represents a snapshot of London’s vibrant music technology ecosystem with participating businesses demonstrating innovation across sync, music & wellness, AI, education and more.

GrowMusic was designed by the BPI and Abbey Road REDD as a successful bid for London & Partners’ Request to Quote to design a 12-week business support programme for London-based music tech companies. Programme partners include Abbey Road REDD, Anthony David King, Andy Ayim MBE, UK Black Tech, and Measure of Music

The 2025 programme has been designed to help early-stage founders grow and road-test their business and ideas. It brings together the leadership and expertise of delivery partners and a range of industry mentors to help enable a greater understanding of the power and value of music technology, and the investment opportunities that exist for technologies adjacent to the music industry.

GrowMusic 2025 will help founders strengthen their products, services and teams. The programme will support participants in recruiting new roles, increasing revenue or investment, and becoming active members of a peer-to-peer network. Founders will also receive mentoring from some of the sector's most experienced individuals.

The launch of the 2025 cohort follows a highly successful first iteration of the programme in 2024. Several key developments have already been reported across the first cohort, with 20 new jobs created, 9 companies reporting increases in revenue, and 21 companies launching new products or services as a result of the programme. Following support and endorsement from the Grow Music team, cohort companies have reported being nominated for major industry awards, raising over £20 million collectively in new investment, and striking new strategic partnerships.

GrowMusic was launched out of BPI’s Insight & Innovation department in collaboration with London & Partners and Abbey Road REDD. The BPI’s Insight & Innovation department continues the long-standing innovation work that the trade body launched in 2016. More widely, BPI Innovation offers an invite-only, free tier membership to BPI for startups and founders across the world who want to test ideas, develop products and projects, and add value to the UK recorded music industry.

BPI’s Chief Executive Officer Dr Jo Twist OBE said:

“We are honoured to once again be partnering with Abbey Road REDD, Measure of Music, UK Black Tech and Anthony David King to deliver GrowMusic 2025, and are grateful to London and Partners for their funding and continued support.

We were blown away by the calibre of participants in last year’s inaugural programme, and by the impressive outcomes brought about by their participation in GrowMusic. Last year’s graduates have developed new products and services, created and protected new full-time jobs, and raised an impressive amount of fresh funding.

As they look to take their businesses to the next level, this year’s cohort will have the chance to learn from some of the greatest minds in music. We’re excited to see the new ideas and innovations that will come about through the programme and wish this year’s participants every success during the twelve weeks and beyond.”

BPI’s Director of Insight & Innovation Leon Neville said:

"Music and technology have always existed side-by-side. The music industry is innovation-focused, forward-thinking and responsive and adaptive to emerging technologies. Through collaborating with our partners and playing an important role in developing a healthy, strong MusicTech ecosystem in the UK, we are attracting more investment, educating the next generation of MusicTech founders and strengthening the quality of products and services that can turbocharge the music industry for the next decade."

Janet Coyle CBE, Managing Director of Grow London at London & Partners said:

“We are incredibly proud to be delivering GrowMusic for a second time with BPI and Abbey Road REDD – a testament to the success of the programme and the incredible work our partners have done to make support London’s most innovative music technology entrepreneurs. London is a global centre for music, technology, and business growth. Grow Music was created in recognition of this and to provide the support needed for the next generation of music technology companies to thrive.”

Abbey Road’s Managing Director Sally Davies said:
