BPI & AIM have joined together to commission research by Julie’s Bicycle into the carbon impact of a switch from physical to digital promo delivery by the independent sector.
AIM and BPI have requested their members complete the below survey on how many promos are currently being sent out physically and digitally. Physical promos are something that many in the music industry have identified as wasteful - not only in economic terms, but also in environmental terms. This study of carbon impact will help support to the campaign to move away from physical promos towards a more efficient, cheaper and more environmentally friendly digital method of track delivery.
The survey on the below link is hopefully relatively straightforward and shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes to complete. It is hoped that the results can be announced in September.

Your time and co-operation is much appreciated….many thanks.
