The 7th annual BPI/UKTI Trade mission to Japan is happening this week and below is a daily blog from delegate Brett Leboff, whose company Monumental Music Group is looking for licensing deals and touring opportunities in Japan.

So after getting to bed at around 6am, I slept until 11.30am. Knowing that I wouldn't be able to make the seminar day at the embassy as I had some meetings set up with some companies that I have worked with before and this had been pre planned before I arrived as they couldn't make another day.
I had some great meetings, admittedly not going flat out with 3 meetings in 6 hours, I was good and ready to have a nice big meal again in Rippongi. Funny, because I never really hung out there much before, and aside from the seedy issue of guys trying to make you go to the strip clubs (literally every 1 metre you walk!) it is actually a fun place to be and not too far from Shibuya, where we are staying and with some very nice civilised bars, but I made sure I had an early night, after a really great dinner meeting.
So, today was really a day for taking it a bit easier. As I am hoping to have back to back meetings for most of Thursday and Friday.
I had heard from some one who was at the Embassy for the day of seminars, that they were all about digital and publishing and that it was a great day and the food standards had improved wildly from Monday's food! They now had fish goujons and Chicken Tikka.... Goujons! The day I don't show and they have Bloody Goujons!
